Park Derochie Coatings Saskatchewan Inc. proudly presented a $50,000 donation to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan towards the provincial Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon that will break ground this spring. The facility will blend obstetrical, newborn and pediatric services under one roof. Pediatric services will include neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, ambulatory services and pediatric emergency services. Maternal services will include labour and delivery, antepartum and postpartum care. The new facility will be home to the first dedicated pediatric surgery suites and the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Saskatchewan.
As the population of Saskatchewan grows, this is a very important facility for Saskatoon and Saskatchewan. Interestingly, Saskatchewan and PEI are the only two provinces currently without Children’s Hospitals.
