Job Title: Scaffolding Business Development Manager
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
We are currently seeking a Scaffolding Business Development Manager to work for one of Canada’s Best Managed companies. This is a full time, permanent position based in our Edmonton, Alberta office, however, will consider alternate Park Derochie office locations.
Specializing in all types of coatings & blasting, fireproofing, mechanical insulation, scaffolding and containment with sixty years of experience, Park Derochie provides shop and/or field services to both industrial and large commercial customers throughout North America and continues to lead the way as one of Canada's premier industrial contractors.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing new clients, work at maintaining existing clients, with aim of increasing business from British Columbia to Ontario. The target markets may be adjusted depending on results and company needs. The primary focus will be sales of HAKI Universal scaffold system from Sweden.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain client contracts and strengthen current business relationships through the coordination of meetings with clients and potential clients.
- Develop various objectives and plans the organization has in store to make its business more successful. (Internally & Externally)
- Oversees the growth of Scaffolding & Access - this would include implementing an integration plan for the company to ensure traction into various markets (Industrial and Commercial) across Canada.
- Participate in the negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Understand corporate policies, procedures, and organizational structure for assigned operating unit within the framework of corporate policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-Secondary Degree and/or field experience related with a number of years with large scaffolding companies.
- Experience in the industry such as procurement, quality control, safety, project management, and contract negotiation.
- Class 5 Driver’s License
Skills / Competencies
- Applicant must possess strong written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to build rapport and understand customers and clients.
- Intermediate computer skills including use of email, Microsoft Office programs and web-based software.
